Dear Families,
I am looking forward to be starting another school year at St. Mary’s and teaching your child. There are a few things I am asking you to send to school with your child that was not on the supply list. First, we are asking that you send a pair of tennis shoes that will stay at school. If students get mud on their shoes or get wet shoes during recess time, they can change into the clean pair when they get inside. These extra shoes can also be used during our winter gym. Secondly, I ask that you keep an extra pair of pants, socks, and underwear in your child’s backpack. Accidents do happen, and we would like to have something the child can change into right away without having to worry about whether someone is able to bring them a change of clothes. Finally, your child may bring one stuffed animal or blanket to use during rest time. This item will go home with your child every night and will stay in their back pack when not in use. This is completely optional, but I know it helps some children feel more comfortable and safe, and I’m all for that!
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to call me at the school 845-2224 or email me [email protected]. I’m looking forward to working with you and your child this school year.
