The leaves are changing and we’re all settling into our routine. The past few weeks we’ve been learning many new things. Probably one of the most exciting ones is learning how to use the SMARTboard! It took a little bit to get it all set up and ready for us to use, but everyone is doing a super job getting our lunch count ready in the morning and our snack helpers are great at leading our calendar! It's also not a bad thing when we can use it to play some "Frozen" songs while we do our work :) In math, we are finishing up our first chapter on Understanding Numbers 1-10. We read Anno’s Counting Book and even drew a few pages to add to our own counting books when we are all finished. We have also been working really hard on practicing how to write the numbers 1-5 and so far have been doing a super job! In handwriting, we finished our basic strokes and have been starting to learn how to write the letters that match our Alphafriends. In reading, we have been reading a lot of books and started learning the sounds our Alphafriends make, so we can start reading on our own. We have also started our Star Words and can start reading them and writing them in sentences! Keep practicing! In religion, we’ve learned about Noah and the Ark and our church families. We have learned the Sign of the Cross and our before meal prayer. Finally, we’ve learned a lot and had fun during our centers. We’ve learned about apples, colors, and will be doing fun autumn projects in the weeks to come. Upcoming Events
