November was an exciting month. We got through a couple of milestones. Our first quarter is under our belt. We also had our first parent teacher conferences. Thank you to everyone for making it go so smoothly. It was a great experience for me! And we had turkeys, turkeys and more turkeys to decorate our room and the hallway!
In reading and handwriting, we have learned a lot of new Alphafriends and can read and write a lot of new words with them. Also, with the help of our Star Words we can read and write sentences. We’ve even started reading books! In Math, continue to practice and work with our teen numbers. We are doing a great job remembering our math homework each night, and I can see the extra practice is helping. In fact we can even add and subtract to 5!
December brings a lot of exciting events to look forward to. It is the month of Advent, a time to look forward to the birth of Jesus! We have a field trip and will be visiting the Aissen Tree Farm. Remember to dress your child warmly in layers for that day. Most of the activities will be inside, but some of the buildings are not heated. Finally, we have our Christmas program to look forward to. We have been practicing hard and are doing a great job remembering the words to our songs.
Have a happy December, a Merry Christmas, and stay warm if you can.
